Common Facility Centre


The ELCIA Cluster was formed with the objective to support the sustainability and growth of MSMEs by addressing common issues such as improvement of technology, skills and quality, market access, access to capital, etc.
A Common Facility Centre (CFC) was established under the guidelines of GoI’s MSME CDP (Cluster Development Program) scheme, with an aim to provide facilities for testing, raw material depot, complementing production processes, and training.
Its aim is to be a complete product development hub which the students members, entrepreneurs, and industries in and around Electronics City. They can finish the complete product development process namely, Concept, Prototype, Testing, and Production, the four stages of product making process.

The equipment available at the facility are:

  • Vertical Machining
  • Spark Erosion Machine
  • Laser Cutting Machine
  • Welding machines
  • Surface grinders
  • Lathe machines, and
  • measuring systems for mechanical prototypes.

For Electronics prototypes, equipment available are:

  • SMT Assembler
  • Solder plate printer
  • X-Ray machine
  • Optical inspection machines
  • Fabrication machines
  • Hot and cold chamber, and
  • Measuring instruments like Oscilloscopes, LCR Bridge, multi-meter, and clamp meter.

Value Addition Offered by CFC to Members

  • It will increase the productivity and decrease the processing time used for innovation, further helping the cluster members to experiment on a higher knowledge-intensive level, and will enhance their technical expertise.
  • This will help the cluster members increase their market potential as well.
  • It will reduce the number of iterations in the development and testing process due to non-availability of schedule from MNCs and PSUs.

Recommerce – Global Battery Recycling Conference

On behalf of Urdhva Management, it is our pleasure to invite you to the Recommerce – Global Battery Recycling Conference. The conference will be held on the 3rd & 4th of March 2021, at the Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru.

Meeting of HR Heads

Electronic City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA) and Electronic City Industry Association (ELCIA) are cohosting a meeting of HR Heads of companies located in Electronics City, Bengaluru on 8th Feb 2021 on “Implementation of POSH” and achieving “Workforce Diversity through Veteran Hiring” for the first time. Ms. Rama NS, LtGen PG Kamath, former Commandant of Army War College, and Wg Cdr LP Joshi, former Operations Director of HCL, are the esteemed speakers. Hoping that this small initiative leads to a safer work environment for women and increased hiring of veterans by industry, and consequent benefits to the business.
