The ELCIA TRUST was founded in September 2003 with an objective to improve conditions for the underprivileged and the children in the neighbouring villages and with the specific purpose of rendering community service in the fields of village and rural uplift, Woman & Children’s Welfare, Education, Community Health & Hygiene and other acts of charity or social work for the benefit of the community at large irrespective of race, religion, caste, community or creed. ELCIA TRUST has played an active role over the years for “nurturing growth”. In this context, several initiatives have been taken by the Trust. The flagship project of the Trust has been “Mid-day-Meal Scheme”, which continues to grow in strength.

The Industries in Electronic City actively participate in the initiatives of the Trust by providing donations and volunteers. The uniqueness of ELCIA Trust is, the salaries and all other expenses of the Office are borne by Electronics City Industrial Association. As such the donations received by the Trust is utilised 100% for the particular projects.  Various activities and projects of ELCIA Trust are given below.

• Providing Mid-day meals to the Government School children.
• Computer Education to Government School Students.
• Infrastructure Developments at Government Schools.
• Providing Drinking Water to the neighbouring villages of Electronic City.
• Providing benches and tables to Government Schools.
• Providing note books to Government School children.
• Planting of saplings –providing green cover to E-City and villages
