The two villages adjoining the E.City have been facing acute drinking water scarcity over the years. In response to their request, the ELCIA Trust agreed to supply BWSSB drinking water free of cost. ELCIA TRUST now supplies 60 K liters of drinking water daily to the two villages. The scheme was inaugurated in the Doddathogur village on 22-Sep-2008 and in the Konnappana Agrahara on 30-Oct-2008. In connection with this project, a 5HP water pump was also installed at the Doddathogur village under the storage water reservoir. This activity costs the Trust Rs.15/- lacs per annum.
